Universiti Malaysia Kelantan has introduced a Special Vehicle Registration Number series with the prefix “UMK”. The UMK Vehicle Registration Number is a Special Registration Number registered under the Road Transport Department of Malaysia (JPJ) and is applicable to vehicles registered in Malaysia.
The UMK Special Vehicle Registration Number Sales Project was initiated following the government’s aspiration and initiative through the National Higher Education Strategic Plan, which aims for all Public Universities to generate their own income.
The combination of the three letters “UMK” was chosen to signify “Untuk Malaysia Ku” (For My Malaysia). Regardless of being alumni or members of the public, everyone has the opportunity to own this uniquely lettered plate at a special starting price of only RM150.00.
